are we?

Rock Youth is the youth ministry of TRC, for those in school years 7 - 13.

We’re all about creating a safe place for young people to explore their faith, build friendships and have fun.

We gather for our Friday Night programme and other socials throughout the year. Catch us sat down the front at our Sunday services too!

Our Friday Night gatherings are the heart of what Rock Youth ministry is all about - young people meeting together to build faith and friendship.

It’s an opportunity for young people to worship together and hear about the life-changing message of Jesus.

We gather every Friday in term time, with socials during the school holidays. Everyone is welcome!

We use the back entrance of The Salvation Army Hall, which is just opposite the entrance to the Harpenden Leisure Centre Car Park.
Simply come in through that door and someone will be ready to greet you!
We’re a very casual bunch, so just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
You only need to bring yourself! But, we do have a cash-only tuck shop if you fancy a snack, so you can bring a few pounds for that.
And we suggest you bring a bottle of water because it can get warm!

When you arrive, you’ll be signed in by a Rock Youth Team Member and given a wristband. The first half hour is just chill time - we have fooseball, ping pong and games out for you! This is the time to stock up on tuck shop snacks too.

Then we all gather up and a Rock Youth Team Member will welcome everyone and lead some games, nothing too scary!

We then have about 20 minutes where we unpack our monthly topic and explore the word of God. Sometimes it’s a preach, or a panel of speakers, or even breakout groups. Either way, you won’t be expected to share or do anything you aren’t comfortable with!
We usually have anywhere between 30-40 young people at our Friday Nights.
Of course! The more the merrier, and bringing someone along is the easiest way to make the first visit a little less scary.
